Who we are
Health Courier is a free community service operated by Yüce Karapazar (the data controller). Contact: ykarapazar@gmail.com.
What the app does
The Health Courier iPhone app reads the Apple Health data types you select and sends them only to the destinations you configure. One optional destination is this service, Health Courier Cloud. If you use only your own server, no data reaches us at all.
What we store when you use Health Courier Cloud
- The stable identifier Apple gives us when you sign in with Apple. We do not receive or store your name, e-mail or password.
- The health samples your phone uploads (type, time, value, unit, source device name) and daily summaries derived from them.
- Device labels and technical tokens needed to accept uploads, share links you create, and web sessions.
We store nothing else: no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no location, no contacts.
Why and on what basis
Health data is special-category data. We process it only with your explicit consent, given in the app before the first upload, and only to show it back to you, let you download it and let you share it with people you choose. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account in the app.
Sharing
Your data is shown to a third person only when you create a share link and give them the PIN. Shares are limited to a date range and expire automatically; you can revoke them at any time. We never sell, rent or otherwise disclose health data, and we never use it for advertising.
Storage and security
Data is stored on a server in the European Union (Google Cloud, Belgium) on an encrypted disk, transferred only over HTTPS, and never copied to iCloud. Backups are kept for 30 days.
Retention and deletion
Your data stays until you delete it. "Delete my account" in the app removes your account, all samples, summaries, shares and tokens immediately; backups expire within 30 days.
Your rights
You can access and download all your data from the dashboard at any time, correct it by re-uploading from Apple Health, and delete it from the app. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
Free service, no warranty, no liability
Health Courier and Health Courier Cloud are provided free of charge, as they are, without any warranty. They are not a medical device and give no medical advice; decisions about your health belong to you and your clinicians. We do not sell, monetise or profit from your data in any way. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from the use or unavailability of the service, from data loss, or from anything a person you shared a link with does with the data. This does not limit rights that consumer or data-protection law grants you and that cannot be waived.

Health Courier complies with the HealthKit rules: health data is used only for the features described here, is never used for advertising or data mining, and is never shared with third parties without your explicit action.
